SAN DIEGO, October 30, 2024 - San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister announced today that their downtown branch, located in the iconic County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, has reopened to public following a yearlong closure. The closure was part of the multi-year mandatory Major Systems Renovation Project (MSRP), and included mechanical, electrical, window, and cosmetic upgrades to the historic building.  On Wednesday, McAllister was joined by San Diego County Assessor Jordan Marks for a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

“The iconic San Diego County Administration Center is eight-six years old – President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated the building when it was opened in 1938. This is a destination spot for visitors and a critical government resource to San Diegans, and it’s an honor to have our offices here. We are pleased that our downtown branch is again open, offering our full breadth of Treasurer-Tax Collector services,” said McAllister. 

“We are reopening just in time for tax season, and we look forward to showing off our new space. I would be remiss if I didn’t remind San Diego homeowners that taxes are due November 1, and delinquent after December 10, 2024,” concluded McAllister.
